The Painted Dunes in Lassen National Park catch their last rays of light during sunset.

Volcanic Trees

Lassen National Park

A top of the Cinder Cone Volcano in Lassen National Park is a view that a few words can describe. Volcanic eruptions of ~ 600,00 years ago shape the landscape of what is called the Painted Dunes.  A gorgeous color palette of purples, greens, and yellows with Jeffery Pines growing out of the volcanic rubble.
